Thursday Night - Hanging out with my man James.
Entertaining is hard work.

Homemade pizza, chocolate chip cookies, and a movie.

We really enjoyed Frozen.  We actually watched it twice, although the second
time was just so we could listen to the music again.

Saturday - Brunch/Lunch Date at Jubala

Saturday Night Treat - Jamocha was the flavor of the day so how could we resist.
A wonderful way to end Spring Break.

Spring Break has been a much appreciated break from work.  Only 9 more weeks left until the end of the school year.  Year 9 is quickly coming to a close.  Until next time...

The "Sisters" Are in Town

Two weeks ago, my sister and sister in law came for a visit.  Seeing family is always good for the soul. We had a blast and ate so much ice cream.  Enjoy a look at all of our fun.

Sybil and Rachel arrived on Wednesday, in time for dinner and a few episodes of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.  Thursday, Aaron and I headed to work, and the girls headed out on an adventure of their own, Duke Gardens and the surrounding areas.  Lots of pictures and text messages were shared throughout the day.  As the school day came to an end, I did some last minute prep for my sub, gathered my things, and began my Spring Break a day early.

The board is ready for Friday as well as ready for Monday after Spring Break.

Sub Plans are laid out and ready for a fun filled day.

Night one of our Goodberry's Adventures
Friday, the girls slept in late and then enjoyed a shopping adventure of our own.  Only a pair of shoes were actually purchased, but we enjoyed tons of great conversation and the pursuit of new sunglasses.  After a day of shopping, we all needed a nap before Friday night pizza, Goodberry's (again) and a movie.

First stop, DSW.

Shopping at Southpoint Mall

Selfie while waiting on Rachel and Sybil to try on clothes.
Love my BetterLifeBags purse.

Lunch - always a great choice.

Homemade pizza and breadsticks.

Dinner around the table.

Night Two - Vanilla Custard, brownie bites, and hot fudge on the side.
DELICIOUS!!!!

Movie Time

Saturday proved to be a nasty rainy day to start off with, but we made the best of it.  We enjoyed a delicious late breakfast, shopping at Kohls, snack/lunch at Panera, church, dinner at Tobacco Road Cafe with friends, and a photo session in downtown Durham before heading home.

Cinnamon Crunch Bagel and Hazelnut Cream Cheese

Love living life with this man.

My Nachos (this is actually an appetizer)
Maggie and I both ordered the same thing, in hind sight we probably should have ordered one and shared it.

I took most of mine home to eat for lunch the next day.
These are the leftover chips.

Sweet Sisterly Love

Go Durham Bulls

Sunday morning, Rachel and Sybil left bright and early.  I am so grateful that they were able to come for a visit.  Looking forward to the next time we are all able to get together.

Young Pros Spring Retreat 2014 - Blue Ridge Assembly - Black Mountain, NC

After a long week at work, Aaron and I loaded up, grabbed some Chick-fil-A to go, and drove 3 1/2 hours to Black Mountain, NC to enjoy the Young Pros Spring Retreat.  The best way I know how to describe the retreat would be youth camp for adults.  We were in the mountains at a retreat, we ate cafeteria style food, which was quite tasty, we slept in bunk beds, we stayed up way too late, and had a bonfire.  It was very relaxing and a nice getaway for Aaron and I, even though technically Aaron was working.

We might be a little too excited in the picture.

Our speaker for the weekend, John McGowan,  is a current church planter from the Summit.

One of the awesome buildings on the campus of the Blue Ridge Assembly Campus.

During our free time, Aaron and I drove to RidgeCrest, Lifeway's Conference Center, to look around.

We visited a couple of local shops in downtown Black Mountain.
We also enjoyed several pieces of candy and some ice cream.

Aaron had the opportunity to play with the worship team.  I always enjoy watching him "rock out" on stage.

The weekend was loads of fun.  We had the opportunity to connect with several young pros at the West Club Campus and build new friendships.  Looking forward to the Fall Retreat.
